6. Nominate your Matron of Honour or Chief Bridesmaid, have your groom choose his best man.
7. Start looking at wedding dresses and cut out pictures from magazines of those you like. This is a good time also to have a look at the attendant’s dresses.

8. Check out still photographers and videographers. Ensure you ask to see examples of their work. Book these as early as possible as great photographers and videographers get booked out well in advance.
9. Have a look at invitation styles. The invitations need not be ordered until 3-4 months before the big day.
10. Choose your wedding transport
11. Commence browsing through travel guides for a honeymoon destination that’s perfect for you and your new husband.
12. Interview florists and book. The final decision of your wedding flowers isn’t normally required until six weeks before your wedding day.
13. Interview hairdressers and make up artists. Many are booked out more than 12 months in advance, so ensure you place your booking now.
14. Arrange wedding insurance.

7. Register your gift list at a Bridal Registry.

By now your wedding dress and your attendant’s dresses should be selected and deposits made. The wedding rings would be made and back from the jeweLler.

Cars, photographers, videographers, the wedding cake, reception, church or celebrant should be booked and reconfirmed.

1. Contact your celebrant or church and arrange to fill in an “Intention to Marry” form.
2. Decide on final guest numbers and order invitations.
3. Order place cards, thank you cards, wedding ceremony books and any other stationery you may require. RSVP for the invitations should be 4 weeks before your wedding day.
4. Keep a list of gifts received and who they are from. Ensure you send thank
you notes within 2 weeks of receiving the gift.
5. All honeymoon travel should be booked.

All invitations should be sent by now and replies flowing in. Ensure you
keep a checklist of who is attending your wedding.

2. Arrange for final fittings of your dress. Choose your wedding shoes and start wearing them in, around the house.

5. Hold pre-wedding parties.

7. Arrange traveler’s cheques for your overseas trip.
8. Decide on whom you would like to make speeches at the reception.
9. Ensure they know their given role and how much time you have allotted for their speech.
10.Upgrade your household contents insurance to cover for the gifts you are receiving.
